Nadia Rachel, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a designated Child Mental Health Specialist, and a Registered-Dance/Movement Therapist. She has worked in community mental health centers and in K-12 school settings across the U.S. Nadia has also spent time living in Ireland, where she served on the executive board of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists. She has extensive experience providing therapy for children, adolescents, families, adults in addiction recovery programs, and elders.
Nadia effectively applies a combination of play, creative expression, mindfulness and meditation skills training, evidence-based behavioral therapies of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Common Elements Treatment Approach (CETA). She holds her primary degree in Psychology from the University of Memphis, a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and a Master's in Design for Human Health from the Boston Architectural College. Her most recent achievement in higher education allows for an additional specialization in the design of health focused spaces/environments. Nadia’s mission is to provide trauma-informed, culturally, and developmentally appropriate treatment. She believes that therapy is a learning process, and that everyone has a different learning style.
