Manpreet Kaur (Priya) is a postdoctoral fellow at Eastside Psychological Associates working towards obtaining her psychologist license under the supervision of Matt Brickell, Psy.D. She received her B.A. from Marquette University and her M.A and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University. Priya’s diverse clinical experience includes working with late adolescents, families, and adults in diverse settings such as community outpatient clinics, primary care clinic, academic health center, outpatient and inpatient neuropsychology clinic within a hospital, and university counseling center.
Priya emphasizes the importance of creating a personalized therapeutic experience tailored to the individual’s unique needs and goals. She utilizes a culturally-informed and strengths-based approach to support their growth and healing. She employs a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) within a trauma-informed perspective.
Priya identifies as a South-Asian fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, affording her a dual lens to understand and address individual differences and cultural nuances, ensuring culturally-informed care for clients from diverse backgrounds.
