Dr. Brunette Dawson conducts evidence-based and strength-based psychological assessments/ evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, she provides research-based and solution-focused psychotherapy for adolescents (ages 13+), adults, and families. In her clinical work, she utilizes an integrative approach, choosing techniques that are uniquely tailored to fit the individual needs of each client. Dr. Dawson works collaboratively with her clients to establish strategies and develop effective coping skills in order to relieve distress, enhance well-being, and create meaningful change. Her theoretical approach is integrative, incorporating Interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic theories.
Dr. Dawson holds a Doctorate and Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Providing psychotherapy and a variety of psychological evaluations for families, Dr. Dawson previously completed an internship at the Federal Way Psychology Clinic in which she provided forensic and psychological services to families from diverse backgrounds. At present, Dr. Dawson is involved in the Parenting Evaluation Training Program (PETP) with Andrew Benjamin, J.D., PhD, ABPP at the University of Washington. Dr. Dawson has specialized training in providing comprehensive psychological and forensic evaluations, parenting evaluations, individual psychotherapy, and co-parenting therapy.
