Sarah R. Welton, Ph.D.

Sarah R. Welton, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center of Excellence in Substance Abuse Treatment and Education at the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System. She provides services to adolescents and adults utilizing an evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral approach that includes mindfulness and acceptance-based treatments, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She has received specialized training in chronic pain, substance use disorders, PTSD, adolescent development, primary care/behavioral health integration, and biofeedback.

Dr. Welton believes the work of therapy is often to learn how to be present with discomfort and cultivate compassion for oneself and others in order to move in the direction of a full, rich, and meaningful life. She offers psychoeducation and treatment to clients in both individual and groups settings.
