Sally D. Bliss, PhD, MA, BSN

Dr. Sally Bliss is a licensed clinical psychologist offering therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples. Dr. Bliss has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing, a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology. She was trained in the San Francisco Bay Area and practiced independently as a clinical psychologist on the Big Island of Hawaii for 20 years. Dr. Bliss’ range of experience includes working for the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team with the San Diego Police Department completing emergency assessments and dispositions.

Dr. Bliss emphasizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as the basis for her practice. She also incorporates Dialectical-Behavioral, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic technique. Dr. Bliss has worked extensively in medical settings and, as such, brings a valuable understanding of the impact of chronic illness, adjustment to aging processes, and medical issues.
