Dr. Joanna (Thome) Patten is a clinical child and pediatric psychologist who specializes in treating children and adolescents presenting with a range of clinical concerns. She currently works in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Seattle Children’s Hospital and previously worked in the Mood and Anxiety Program at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Patten uses evidence-based approaches to treat depression (BA, CBT, etc.), anxiety (exposure, ERP, CBT, etc.), and externalizing behaviors (PCIT, PMT, Collaborative Problem Solving, etc.). Dr. Patten also adapts evidence based interventions for use with children and adolescents presenting with adjustment concerns. Dr. Patten has worked with children and families treated in the Departments of Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Cranio-Facial, Endocrinology, Dermatology, and Gastroenterology, among others.
