Lisa Farsje, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing individual psychotherapy for adults in Washington State. She completed her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington in 2002 and her post-graduate training as a Social Work Fellow at the Center of Excellence in Substance Abuse Treatment and Education, VA Puget Sound Health Care System. She spent many years doing individual therapy, group therapy and crisis intervention with adults who have substance use co-occurring with mental health conditions.

Lisa enjoys cultivating a collaborative, authentic therapeutic relationship with her clients and works from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective. She believes there are many paths toward healing and works with her clients to help them discover the set of changes that will work best for them, based on their values.

Lisa is trained in multiple evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI)/ Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) as well as Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). She believes that no matter what therapeutic interventions are used, helping clients learn to view issues through a lens of curiosity, compassion and even humor can foster new perspectives and momentum towards wellness.
